ABOUT ED

After 40 years as an attorney, Ed traded law and order in New York City for peace and tranquility in Vermont in 2011. The picturesque Green Mountain State inspired his resurgent interest in oil painting, a hobby he pursued from the 1970s to 1990s.

Ed's signature style blends bold color fields and black outlines to depict urban and rural scenes inspired from life at home and travels abroad.

More recent creative explorations include colorfully glazed hand- and mold-formed ceramics and gouache and opaque watercolors.

His daughter, Allison Tanenhaus, is a digital abstract artist who is proudly following in his footsteps (with collaborations to come).
